Fashion Instyle 2025 was a four day immersive trade fair designed to connect more than 400 exhibitors and buyers through space, materials and storytelling. Anchored by the launch of Next Fashion Instyle, the event curated global innovations, heritage craftsmanship and advanced technologies into a dynamic sourcing journey. Featuring international exhibitors, strategic partnerships and designer collaborations from 22 countries and regions, the exhibition created an engaging platform that transforms material discovery into an inspiring and unforgettable fashion experience.

Production Technology
Technology and material innovation were embedded throughout the preparation and production of Fashion InStyle 2025. The NEXT display zone was designed around 3 thematic domes that used immersive space and special lighting effect to enhance material visibility and interaction. Curated displays reveal each material’s journey from sourcing and sustainability to advanced production and final applications, while walkways and networking areas encourage exploration, learning and meaningful connections.
Design Challenge
A major research challenge was that the NEXT material display zone marked a significant departure from previous editions, introducing many new and fragile materials that demanded extended research and careful planning. Materials such as AlgaFila, Lotixilk and heritage Gambiered Canton Silk required in depth study of their properties, handling and display conditions. The team had to translate this research into a coherent spatial journey, thoughtfully integrating material stories and production concepts into the three dome zones while ensuring material integrity and an engaging visitor experience.
Project Duration
The event held from 27 - 30 Apr 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Operation Flow
The NEXT at Fashion InStyle zone was organised as a curated, walk through experience guiding visitors through themed material showcases. A clear circulation flow connected international exhibitors, innovation hubs and designer collaboration areas, encouraging discovery and dialogue. Interactive displays, mentorship sessions and networking spaces enabled hands on engagement between material suppliers, designers and buyers, fostering knowledge exchange, collaboration and meaningful industry connections.
Research
It was a six month research process focused on identifying and matching innovative fashion materials with local designers. The team conducted in depth visits to material factories to study sourcing, production methods and sustainability practices, collecting detailed data on each material’s properties and processes. These insights were translated into curated narratives and visual content, presented across three immersive dome zones that communicate material concepts, production journeys and design applications.
Inspiration
The design concept of Fashion InStyle 2025 was inspired by the fusion of tradition, innovation and global creativity. With the launch of NEXT at Fashion InStyle, the exhibition celebrated cross cultural exchange by uniting international exhibitors, heritage craftsmanship and advanced materials. Sustainability, new technologies and designer collaborations shaped a forward looking platform where cultural identity and contemporary design converge.
