The difficulty lies in the balance between "clear transmission of information" and "better visual effect". During the creation process, I made many attempts, and finally chose to establish data visualization in 3D, hoping to explore new presentation ways of information design so as to find the best balance point. This is a new attempt, and we hope that this 3D presentation can strengthen the sense of connection between the viewer and the data, and make the transmission of information more effective.
The project started in March 2020 in China and finished in June 2020 , and was exhibited in "The start of a long journey outstanding works by graduates of 2020 from key arts academics in China” of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts.
By using AR software to scan pictures,3D information model appears, which can be controlled by fingers to zoom in and out, rotate, etc. So that viewers can read information from multiple angles and enhance interaction.
The integration of information is a very important part, and it is this data that sets the stage for our later creation. Analyzing the data takes up most of our upfront work, but it's essential. We built a 3D information model based on a large amount of research data, combined with the structure of brain neurons, with the ultimate purpose of exploring people's irrational cognition and judgment, as well as developing new ideas of information observation, so that readers can better understand information through stronger interactive mode.
Inspired by the fact that people's irrational choices are affected by multiple reasons, Seek inspiration from some common but overlooked normalcy in life. Focus on subjective, irrational, emotional moments or cognitive moments that we all have. This is why robots are chosen as the comparison item. The 3D information visualization model and poster were made based on the data obtained from the cognitive experiment of man-machine confrontation.
