This design is a work of art, using modern geometric animal outline combined with Chinese traditional intangible cultural heritage bamboo weaving, using lighting and geometric hollow structure, to create a gorgeous light and shadow effect.

Production Technology
This material is made of steel and bamboo. The steel is cut to a suitable length for welding and finally welded into the frame. Bamboo cutting, polishing, splitting and other processes, will be cut into a certain thickness of bamboo by hand woven into different patterns.
Design Challenge
This design animal geometric frame is constructed from a two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional main body frame. Each rebar bracket must be repeatedly adjusted in space. The bamboo weave pattern needs to be redesigned and conceived.

Location: zhengzhou university of light industry, date: November 10, 2019 -December 10, 2019
Operation Flow
The design is a work of art with lights, which need to be turned on manually to turn on the light bulb, thus presenting a light and shadow effect.
Research
We investigated the texture pattern of Chinese bamboo weaving and the method of adding work to bamboo, and studied the construction of geometric frame
Inspiration
China's intangible bamboo weaving culture is extensive and profound, and there are various patterns of bamboo weaving (Bamboo cutting, polishing, splitting and other processes, will be cut into a certain thickness of bamboo woven together). The existing bamboo design is quite common. I want to integrate the elements of modern design into traditional culture and show the diversity and charm of Chinese traditional culture in the way of modern design.
