Gu Yue Long Shan is the largest group of traditional yellow wine in China, founded in 1664. The new product they created for Gu Yue Long Shan, conveys the idea of enjoying slow time. The graphic design is based on the concepts of water, snow, glutinous rice and time, which are essential in yellow wine, and depicts the local mountains and water to form a complete picture.

Unique Properties
Guyue Long Shan is the largest yellow wine group in China, started in 1664, is a popular traditional yellow wine brand in China. It has many classic yellow wine products, and a loyal customer base of middle-aged and elderly people. It needs to develop some new products to cater to the younger consumers.

Operation Flow
When customers get their Snow Time Wine, they will touch the special crafted pawn paper bottle sticker. Tear off the top seal, open the cork, pour yourself a glass of aged yellow wine and enjoy Slow Time!
Research
We combine the Chinese yellow wine culture with the local city culture of Shaoxing, and the yellow wine brewing process to form the bottle label illustration. Time/lake water/glutinous rice/snowflakes form the auxiliary graphics. This is our attempt to expand the image of Huangjiu.
Inspiration
We created a young new product for Guyuelongshan, Falling Snow, to convey the idea of enjoying slow times. Water, glutinous rice and time are essential in making yellow rice wine, while the lees of Fragrant snow wine are as white as snow. So we use abstract snowflakes to express time/water/glutinous rice, and draw the local mountains and water to form a complete picture.
Project Overview
Snow Time Wine has been a Silver winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design. Their work often incorporates original innovations and elicits a strong emotional response, making a notable impact on the improvement of everyday life.
