It aims to promote the deep fusion of industrial design and economic and social development, and to promote the design exchange and cooperation between countries and regions. The theme of the 2020 World Industrial Design Conference (WIDC 2020) is Intelligent Design Road to the Future. The Conference has explored the unlimited possibility created by the fusion of design and intelligence. Design makes the industry more dynamic and makes life better.

Unique Properties
The key visual is a dynamic combination of the initials of the WIDC 2020 theme, which are "idea, intelligence and industrial Internet". It extends openly and runs towards the future around the core of WIDC, representing the fusion of international vison and local wisdom. The work uses the three primary colors (red, green and blue) as its main colors, and the three "I" as the element. Numerous "I" generated by the fusion of primary colors forms a stream of particles flowing to the distance. It implies that under the influence of the fusion of "idea, intelligence, and industrial Internet", the world industrial design innovation chain will break up and regroup, and run towards the future.

Production Technology
Design is a universal language in the world, meaning open, inclusive, infinite and full of unknown charm. Focusing on "idea, intelligence and industrial Internet", WIDC 2020 has attracted design associations, enterprises, institutions, colleges, etc. from more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and has achieved fruitful results. More than 1000 new technologies and designs from hundreds of enterprises and institutions participated in the exhibition. It has covered 14 fields including high-end equipment, aerospace and intelligent robots, gathering over 1000 participants.
Design Challenge
The challenge is how to show the development and importance of design.
Project Duration
The project started in February 2020 and finished in November 2020 in Yantai, and was exhibited in Yantai on 25th November 2020.
Operation Flow
Focusing on "idea, intelligence and industrial Internet", WIDC 2020 has attracted design associations, enterprises, institutions, colleges, etc. from more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and has achieved fruitful results. More than 1000 new technologies and designs from hundreds of enterprises and institutions participated in the exhibition. It has covered 14 fields including high-end equipment, aerospace and intelligent robots, gathering over 1000 participants.
Research
The design concept of WIDC 2020 is inclusive, sustainable and win-win. The Conference has explored the unlimited possibility created by the fusion of design and intelligence (such as intelligent products, intelligent services, intelligent city and intelligent platform). Design makes the industry more dynamic and changes the world for the better!
Inspiration
2020 World Industrial Design Conference implies to promote the fusion of human wisdom (represented by design), artificial intelligence (cored with computing) and intelligent manufacturing (interconnection as ecology) to design the future. The key visual is a dynamic combination of the initials of the WIDC 2020 theme, which are "idea, intelligence and industrial Internet".
