Photography Artwork for Porsche China
For Porsche China Florian W. Mueller shot in Shanghai and created some artwork for the Photofairs Shanghai, including iconic sportscars. Shanghai has many different faces. The old, traditional China, the influences of France in the "Former French Concession" and very modern glass and steel architecture. The photographer wanted to capture these different faces of the city in multiple exposures, always with a car in the picture. Because no matter how distorted the environment appears through the multiple exposure, you can always recognize the iconic design of the Porsche.

Porsche China asked me if I’d like to shoot in Shanghai and create some artwork for the PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai, including their iconic sportscars. I created pictures in the style of my “Multivision” series to show the various vibrant faces of this great city. It's multiple exposure photography, always three photographies in one picture.
Shanghai, China, Porsche, multiple exposure, photography
Digital photography, the artworks are finished as Fine-Art prints, mounted on Alu-Dibond.
The challenge was the weather and to find locations, where a multiple exposure of Shanghai gives a good view to the different faces of the city.
Location-Scouting and Shooting: 10 days, 10 more days for postproduction
1. Digital location scouting via internet, Google Earth, etc. 2. Physical location scouting in Shanghai 3. Shooting in the streets of Shanghai 4. Post Production
The project started with a call from Porsche China. I created a concept and did the creative direction. All in all, I didn't have much time, there were about 3 months between the creation of the concept and the exhibition for Porsche's 70th birthday at Photofairs Shanghai.
Shanghai has many different faces. You can find the old, traditional China, the influences of France in the "Former French Concession" and of course very modern glass and steel architecture. I wanted to capture these different faces of the city in multiple exposures, always with a Porsche in the picture.
