Stage for Beijing Yamei Times Culture Media Co. Ltd
The stage design for Huachenyu's 2023 Mars Concert was centered on the Martian Coordinate System, symbolizing both a geographical reference and the time and emotions shared over the past decade. The structure, a rectangular prism 47.5m x 27.5m x 22m, incorporated sequential luminous panels and mirror-like elements, resembling coordinate scales that documented key moments. With a four-sided stage weighing over 200 tons, the design balanced scale, transparency, and safety. Dynamic elements allowed sections to visually grow from saplings to flowers.

The stage design for this production represents an unprecedented visual revolution. We constructed a four-sided stage structure measuring 47.5 meters long, 27.5 meters wide, and 22 meters high, with a total hanging weight of over 200 tons. This monumental feat, unparalleled in Asia, demonstrates our commitment to pushing boundaries.

In terms of functionality, this stage design not only ensures the freedom of performance and scheduling for Huachenyu but also integrates a rich variety of dynamic elements. Specifically designed for the stage are 10 custom-made lighting fixtures arranged in a "6 horizontal, 4 vertical" configuration, spanning 30 meters. Through a sequence of lenses, they showcase key moments and highlights from the past decade, offering a unique interpretation of Huachenyu's music. Additionally, 12 adjustable lighting columns symbolize the companionship throughout each month of a year.
This monumental feat, unparalleled in Asia, demonstrates our commitment to pushing boundaries. While pursuing immense scale, we skillfully balanced the structure's transparency with its load-bearing capacity to ensure the safety and stability of the stage.
The project started in April 2023 in Hangzhou and finished on 07, April, 2024, in Hangzhou.
Based on the core concept of the "Martian Coordinate System," the stage design for this event ingeniously utilizes horizontal and vertical structures, sequential devices, and numerical control technology to construct a giant rectangular prism within the stadium, measuring 47.5 meters in length, 27.5 meters in width, and 22 meters in height. At the top and bottom of the prism, numerous sequentially arranged, numerically controlled luminous panels or strip-shaped mirror stage art devices resemble scales in the coordinate system, documenting every precious moment over the past decade. These devices not only fulfill multidimensional dynamic imagination but also seem to gather beautiful information from parallel universes over the past decade, converging from various dimensions and directions to collectively construct a unique coordinate system. When the dynamic changes settle, the complete appearance of the stage is revealed, resembling a massive "engine" or "motherboard," with Huachenyu's music serving as the core power source, unleashing immense energy. The PGM screens and performances on stage then act as energy chips within the "motherboard," weaving together a visually and audibly stunning extravaganza that captivates the audience.
