Evolving from 2003 to 2024, the Soul Power II concert symbolizes the pursuit of self-actualization, providing strength in a chaotic world. Inspired by the Tower of Babel, the stage features an 8 meter circular turntable with eight columns, using "love" to connect people globally. The concert’s flexible segments adapt to the live atmosphere, creating sparking musical moments with the band. The stage and visual design reflect this essence, drawing the audience into the performance effortlessly.

David Tao's performances are known for their dynamic live energy. To engage all ages, the program blends classic hits with playful elements. Visuals and songs feature puns, such as in "Small Town Girl," where "Big Manager" sounds like "Big Koi," and it appears in the visuals, enhancing resonance and interaction. Starting with the classic song 'Runaway,' it explores life issues and revisits nostalgic hits like 'Regular Friends,' 'Reimagined', and 'Blue Moon', taking the fans back to a golden era.
The complexity of stage construction is often influenced by the environment. For the Soul Power II tour, most venues lack overhead rigging points, posing a challenge to maintaining the tower's prominence without obstruction. Instead of building additional roof structures, the design team construct all necessary components from the ground up. The LED screens on both sides are supported by irregular Layher structures, enhancing the stage's design and lighting potential.
The concert started in March 2024 in Wuhan and still touring around the world.
David Tao's performances are known for their strong live feel. In the Soul Power II concert, many segments have no set program or length, adjusting to the live atmosphere. This dynamic interaction with the band often sparked unexpected musical brilliance. The stage and visual design for this tour aim to showcase this musical spontaneity, allowing the audience to effortlessly immerse themselves in the performance and be swept up by the atmosphere.
Creating the towering effect without overhead rigging is a challenge. The team considered hiding the lifting mechanism within the tower but abandoned this due to venue restrictions. After thorough research, they custom-built the tower structure and turntable. Utilizing LED and lighting, they enhance the stage effects with smoke machines and mirror balls within the tower, making the smoke more dynamic and amplifying the tower's visual impact.
In 2003, David Tao's Soul Power concert was hailed as a legendary performance. Eleven years later, "Soul Power II" is conceived to recapture the essence of live music and the soul of the artist. Rather than a mere remake or upgrade, its design draws on a profound recognition, pursuit, and mutual understanding of the creator's unique soul. This belief drives it to become an invisible force for the audience, crafting a new and heartfelt experience for this era's concert-goers.
