Production Technology
Glass is used as the main body and the outer layer of the round cap at the bottle mouth is made of alloy. The color of glass bottle body uses UV printing technology. The outer packing material is a combination of paper and alloy.
Design Challenge
The most difficult part is how to combine the ancient traditional customs of worshipping heaven and worshiping God in China with product design, and how to make products conform to modern international aesthetics while retaining the ancient traditional elements of China.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2019 in Beijing and finished in January 2020 in Beijing
Operation Flow
The packaging adopts reusable packaging, which is fixed by upper and lower alloy buckles. The upper buckle is the imperial seal of the emperor, and the lower buckle is the logo of "600th Anniversary Temple of Heaven". The outer packaging of wine can be opened by removing the two buckles respectively.
Research
The design of the wine bottle breaks through the old design of most traditional Chinese liquor containers. The expression mode is modern and contains tradition. The ancient Chinese concept of "round heaven and square earth" is well reflected in this design. Climate and land are closely related to the quality of liquor.
Inspiration
2020 is the 600th anniversary of the completion of the Temple of Heaven. For this important anniversary, a set of four bottles of commemorative wine was designed. Why are they divided into four sections？Because, the temple of heaven is the place where the power of light shines strongest. Is the " heaven diagram " in the book of changes. " heaven diagram " contains four virtues: kindness, propriety, loyal and integrity.
Project Overview
600th Anniversary Temple of Heaven Liquor Packaging has been a Iron winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution.
