Meteor Lodge is a UI/UX project thoughtfully created to enhance readers' experience in digital reading and online communities. The application provides a dedicated space for passionate indie writers to publish their work, for curious readers to find stories, and for users, including writers and readers, to exchange their insights. In Book Reading, indie writers can publish books much more quickly than the traditional way. Readers also don't need to search for a book or storyteller across different websites.

Production Technology
The product creates a connection between readers and independent writers. The platform provides a large number of books by indie writers for readers who expect to see more niche works and the user saves time in scouring through websites and social media. The product offers indie writers a platform for quickly publishing writer works. At the same time, the BookReading also provides a platform for users to communicate.
Design Challenge
The application's primary users are indie writers who wish to publish their books on a platform and who want to read books from indie writers and share feedback with other readers and writers. 1. There needs to be an accessible platform for Indie writers to publish their books. 2. Platform needs to provide an adequately vast selection of indie writer's books. 3. Writers and readers need a platform to communicate with each other.
Project Duration
The project started in early 2022 in Framingham, MA. The UI UX Designer and Illustrator collaborated remotely for this project, which finished in September 2022.
Operation Flow
The Application provides a dedicated space for passionate indie writers to publish their work, for curious readers to find indie writers, and for users, including writers and readers, to exchange their insights.
Research
1. Our primary research method was interviewing users who like reading or listening to audiobooks. 2. Our secondary research method used quantitative and qualitative data from allianceindependentauthors.org and US Statista website. 3. Book Reading Application’s design process included various phases of UX Design Sprints: Understand, ideate, decide, prototype, and test.
Inspiration
According to the Alliance of Independent Authors' data, more and more people have started spending money again on book reading. Simultaneously, online reading websites provide an excellent environment for indie writers to publish their works without high expenses, and ebooks and online readings would become more common in the near future.
