Unique Properties
This is a visual design project for the 2021 Taoyuan Art and Technology Art Festival. In previous years, the festival focused on technology art exhibitions. Still, this year's theme is autumn light, pond water, and dance, which features a crossover of technology and performing arts. The team used a color scheme inspired by contemporary Taiwanese aesthetics and combined it with coded pixel fonts to present the theme of the event, which is poetry in the technology exhibition.

Production Technology
The chosen design scheme predominantly utilizes the color red and employs a pixelated font, which serves to convey the refinement and elegance of modern technology. The emblem in the shape of a sun symbolizes the radiant brilliance of autumn sunlight, while the depiction of water droplets in the design evokes a sense of tranquility and calmness, reminiscent of a serene pond. Moreover, the incorporation of vibrant pink hues in the design accentuates the gentle and delicate characteristics that are synonymous with the season.
Design Challenge
This design boasts a unique attribute that enables it to disassemble into separate units, rendering it highly versatile in accommodating diverse orientations or objects. Furthermore, there have been pioneering developments in integrating motion into the design, elevating its functionality, and opening up a plethora of potential applications.

The project was completed in Taipei in 2022.
Operation Flow
This event highlights the mesmerizing and enchanting elements of the fall season's light, the serene pond water, and the graceful art of dance. The team has taken inspiration from these three themes and used them to craft an absolutely breathtaking design that prominently displays radiant patterns of the sun and water droplets. The designer has gone a step further by incorporating brilliantly vivid pink lighting, which adds to the overall dynamic and captivating effect of the display.
Research
The curatorial methodology of Harald Szeemann's "total art" is a captivating and ever-evolving process that adapts to changing times, as explored in the insightful book, Der Hang zum Gesamtkunstwerk. The exhibition brilliantly embraces the essence of "total art" by showcasing an impressive collection of technology crossover performance art and technology art installations. Furthermore, the event's main visual design is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the exhibition's themes, creating a truly immersive experience that beautifully captures the spirit of "total art".
Inspiration
In an effort to promote local humanities and gender equality, the festival organizers have dedicated a special focus to exploring and expanding on the role of women in classic literary works. In doing so, the team has successfully connected the feminine perspective in these texts to the natural beauty of the local pond. This has resulted in an extended discussion on the intricate relationship between humans, nature, and self.
