Logo Design for LIV Dach RLP

This is the logo design for the Guild Association of Roofing Crafts in Rhineland Palatinate, Germany. My goal was to create a timeless and clean logo without using typical roof shapes, which are featured in over 90 percent of logos for roofing associations and companies. Many association members wanted to see a roof in the logo, but I was able to convince even the critics with my idea.

Unique Properties

This is the logo design for the Guild Association of Roofing Crafts. The goal was to create a timeless and clean logo without using typical roof shapes, which are featured in over 90% of logos for roofing associations and companies.

Design Challenge

The most challenging part was creating a symbol that stands out from other logos in the industry while still gaining acceptance among the members.

Project Duration

The project started in September 2023 in Hilden, Germany and finished in January 2024.

Operation Flow

The new corporate design ensures consistent communication across all channels and levels, creating a unified brand experience. It's intuitive and adaptable, making it easy to apply in various contexts, from digital to print. The updated visuals improve recognition and engagement by resonating with the target audience. Key elements like typography, color schemes, and imagery are optimized for clarity and impact, resulting in better performance, stronger brand identity, and seamless interaction for all users.

Research

First, several interviews were conducted with representatives of the association. Subsequently, the designs of roofing companies from other federal states and guilds were analyzed. The strengths and weaknesses of these designs were evaluated and discussed with the association. Close collaboration with the client was essential to ensure that the result not only looked good but was also fully understood in its entirety.

Inspiration

The design needed to work across all platforms and be scalable. It should remain versatile and effective in both digital and print media, not just today but also in the years and decades to come. The simplicity of the logo makes it easy to remember.

Project Overview

Liv Dach Rlp Logo Design has been a Bronze winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
