Production Technology

Design Challenge

The primary challenge was integrating traditional Persian architectural elements with modern energy-efficient systems. Balancing ornamental features with sustainability required extensive research and iterative design processes. AI tools were crucial in testing and refining the design, helping to overcome obstacles related to material choices and climate adaptation. The final design successfully combines Persian architectural beauty with innovative solutions, creating a resilient and climate-responsive villa.

Project Duration

The project design in June 2024 for southern Iran. The villa is designed specifically for the hot climate of southern Iran, integrating sustainable features to ensure comfort and energy efficiency.

Operation Flow

The layout is designed to encourage a smooth flow between indoor and outdoor spaces through courtyards, terraces, and arched openings. A central courtyard acts as the heart of the villa, offering shade and comfort in the hot climate. Large windows and double-height spaces maximize natural light and ventilation, minimizing the need for mechanical cooling. The villa design also incorporates passive cooling techniques, ensuring that the building performs optimally in the region's climate

Research

This research explores the fusion of traditional Persian architecture with modern sustainable design principles to create climate-adaptive residences. Through case studies, climate analysis, and material testing, the research highlights the effectiveness of passive cooling systems and locally sourced materials in hot climates. AI-assisted design tools played a key role in visualizing and refining the project, allowing for a balanced approach to heritage and innovation.
