Anonymousociety is a social critique design project. In this project. Yan Yan created a non-existent secret organization named Anonymousociety. Anonymousociety wants to create a safe house where people can hide from the spotlights, escape from the attention, and let go of themselves. While creating this project, Yan Yan was using a mockumentary perspective to document the existence of Anonymousociety. This series of design works include a fan-made website, a magazine, a set of instructions and flyers etc.

Inspiration
This project started with some moments Yan Yan had been through. Who is the real me? Is it the one shown under people’s eyes, or the one hidden away from people’s gaze? Am I shaped by other people's gaze, or am I shaped by myself? People now live in a world that's overly exposed to social media, reality TV shows, and YouTube. Society forces people to unwillingly expose themselves, regardless of whether they are in public or in private.
Project Overview
Anonymousociety Social Critique Design has been a Iron winner in the Social Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change.
