INGS is a leading domestic skincare brand that embraces the concepts of self-care, nature, authenticity, and technology. The team conducted research and experienced the entire range of INGS products, actively participating in discussions on ingredients, formulations, and the entire production process. In terms of materials, we have adopted plastic-free logistics boxes and eliminated the use of adhesive glues. Instead, we use zippered courier boxes. For shock absorption, we use FSC-certified honeycomb paper. The product packaging employs soy ink, which aids in degradation.
With a large number of SKUs, it's important to address the issue of varied and chaotic color styles. While designing the products, it is crucial to adhere to the parameters set by national skincare standards and make efforts to utilize environmentally friendly materials that comply with those standards. This ensures that we uphold our commitment to prioritizing sustainable development to the fullest extent possible.
The project started in June 2021 in Shanghai and finished in December 2022 in Shanghai.
The team conducted research and experienced the entire range of INGS products, actively participating in discussions on ingredients, formulations, and the entire production process. The team's experience with the products and the brand's professionalism exceeded their expectations. In the initial stage, the brand's key elements were extracted and simplified, creating a visually appealing presentation that precisely aligns with the brand's core technology.
After studying other skincare brands in the same category, we discovered that many of them tend to focus more on visual appeal and market trends. However, our emphasis lies in presenting the essence of professional technology. Drawing inspiration from our core technology, we have visually highlighted the research and development of our brand's maximum core value. The bullet-shaped design symbolizes direct penetration to the skin's depths, conveying a pictorial metaphor.
The team approached the design from a perspective of professional technology, incorporating the metaphor of a bullet directly reaching the skin's depths. By combining architectural techniques, they created a multidimensional presentation that effectively expresses the professionalism of the brand's exclusive new technologies. The original logo was overly complex and had limited communicative power.
