Our design emphasizes high-quality materials and advanced techniques. The glass undergoes precise processing to create the eaves shape, balancing round edges and square bottoms to echo "heaven is round and earth is square," maintaining visual texture and transparency. The bottle cap resembles Su Dongpo's hat. The outer box, made of premium cardboard, uses embossing and UV coating for appearance and durability. Advanced molding and printing ensure consistency and quality in production.
This wine packaging design showcases a profound exploration and meticulous presentation of the Three Sūs culture. Through in-depth research into the history and cultural heritage of the Three Sūs family, its essence is integrated into the packaging design, highlighting not only the product's high quality but also the richness of its cultural connotations. The clever use of illustrations to present six stories representing the core values of the Three Sūs family demonstrates the design team's unique insights and aesthetic pursuits. Through such design, consumers not only taste fine wine but also deeply perceive the charm of the Three Sūs culture. This fusion of traditional culture and modern design is bound to attract more attention and appreciation from consumers.
The project started in June 2023 in Chengdu and finished in December 2023 in Sichuan Chengdu.
The bottle cap resembling Su Dongpo's hat is easier to grip and open. This design facilitates easy opening. The bottle body transitions from a larger grip at the top to a smaller one at the bottom, transitioning from square to round, ensuring consumers can hold the bottle comfortably and securely without slipping.
The research direction for this wine packaging includes exploring the historical origins of the Three Sūs culture, integrating appearance elements, and designing illustrations. By incorporating the historical background and cultural heritage of the Three Sūs family into the packaging design, we aim to showcase both high quality and cultural significance. Through six illustrated stories representing the virtues of "benevolence, righteousness, harmony, filial piety, inheritance, and virtue," we aim to present the rich cultural charm of the Three Sūs culture within the packaging, offering consumers a deeper understanding and appreciation of it.
The inspiration for the packaging of "Three Sūs' Family Tradition" liquor comes from the rich connotations and historical heritage of the Three Sūs culture. The Three Sūs are a renowned literary family in Chinese cultural history, with their works beloved by many and deeply influential. Therefore, we aim to pay homage to this cultural tradition and carry it forward through our packaging design.
Inheritance Chinese Liquor Packaging has been a Silver winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
