Sergio Dalla Riva's coffee package design combines ageless Italian charm with contemporary sophistication. A matte black backdrop signifies quality and legacy; the Italian tricolor and gold typeface accentuate this. Blend-specific accents, and instructive material for coffee enthusiasts, the package is not only visually striking but also informative. Every component—from layout to font to picture—supports the premium nature and legacy of the brand.

To guarantee longevity and product safety, Sergio Dalla Riva's packaging is made of premium laminated flexible materials for pouches and stiff cardboard for capsule boxes. With a matte finish to reflect elegance, the design uses offset printing for clarity and vivid colour reproduction. While UV spot finishing increases visual contrast and tactile appeal, hot foil stamping in gold emphasises important features like the brand name and anniversary mark.
The key difficulty was to honor Sergio Dalla Riva's legacy while catering to contemporary coffee consumers. The design had to reflect both heritage and creativity. We created a consistent identity that functions across several packaging kinds by balancing narrative with clarity. It emphasizes mix variations without compromising oneness. The design honors a 50-year legacy while looking forward by integrating visual elegance, pragmatic structure, and educational material.
Italy 2023
Every packaging style—from ground coffee bags to capsules—was meant to strike a balance between form and use. While the material's structural strength guarantees freshness, the matte texture and color accents provide great shelf presence. A thorough taste profile chart, roast strength scale, and brewing instructions on the reverse help to make product selection interesting and easy.
This design was created by us looking at consumer behaviour connected to luxury coffee items, color associations, and legibility across various print media. Studies verified that black and gold represent legacy and luxury. Another major emphasis was visual consistency across product formats. Based on consumer desire for product knowledge and traceability in contemporary specialty coffee markets, informational components including charts and origin information were included.
Inspired by Sergio Dalla Riva's 50-year tradition and strong ties to Italian coffee culture, the packaging Our goal was to design a contemporary visual homage to this legacy. Reflecting both grandeur and authenticity, drawing from classic Italian aesthetics, the use of multicolored components, elegant serif typeface, and black and gold accents. The design also features the title "Maestro del Caffè" and the founder's signature, which adds a narrative, personal touch.
