Label and box packaging for a health food brand that has strong roots in the Nordics. The design should have a natural touch, especially considering the ingredients are natural. The target demographic groups are males and females in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. The box is printed on paper with a matt celloglaze finish. Whilst transparent plastic is chosen for the container because it is the most valuable plastic after recycling.

Packaging design for AAVALABS, the Nordics company, with a Finnish twist. Honesty and Transparency are in the core of the company, so that is also portrayed in products design, that breathes Nordic purity and freshness.

Production Technology
The graphics were illustrated digitally on Adobe Illustrator. Every product has it's own Pantone color and it's printed on offset printing machine.

In terms of design, the challenge was merging different varieties of plants into one
Project Duration
The project was completed with a quick turnaround time of 1 month, in Febroary 2019.
Research
Botanical research, and research on raw stones and minerals were carried out for each individual packaging. Illustrations on the background were strongly influenced by illustrations from botanical books and encyclopedias.
Inspiration
A rough translation of Aava is “open”. The word has been in the Finnish vocabulary for centuries and holds a special meaning that can only be described by seeing an Aava Landscape. That is why the packaging design allows everyone to experience the power of nature for themselves.
