Yunnan is home to many ethnic minorities who have their own unique eating styles. As a representative traditional staple food in Yunnan, rice noodles can be integrated with any ingredient and cooking method to produce different tastes. Through the carrier of rice noodles, the designers have developed and designed this series of Yunnan rice noodle products by combining the costumes of ethnic minorities in Yunnan and the tastes of ethnic minorities. Through modern food preservation technology, the taste of Yunnan is promoted to the world.

As a representative food of Yunnan, rice noodles have many ways to cook. In order to let more people understand the Yunnan rice noodle culture and ethnic culture, Designer use the Yunnan ethnic minority costumes as the main element to design rice noodle packaging with different ethnic tastes.

The material of this packaging box is white card, using lithography process, the surface coating can protect the pattern from scratching and moisture.
How to use vision to express taste is the most challenging part of design.
The project started in March 2021 in Kunming and finished in May 2021 in Kunming
Rice noodle packaging have large boxes and separate small packages for different flavors. According to the customer's needs, customer can choose 6 small packages to combine into a large gift box.
This is an applied research project. Through the study of local ethnic minority cultures through research methods such as literature consultation, field research, interviews, and observations, its cultural genes are extracted, and finally the local traditional food culture is promoted and disseminated through packaging design.
Yunnan is a multi-ethnic province, and each ethnic minority has its own unique eating style. Rice noodles can be blended with any ingredient and cooking method to produce a different taste. If someone wants to intuitively understand a nation, in addition to its visual culture, it is its food culture. So we developed and designed this series of Yunnan rice noodle products through the carrier of rice noodles, combining the costumes of ethnic minorities in Yunnan and the tastes of ethnic minorities.
