Wherever major cultural events happen, PepsiCo brands can be found making a unique mark. After two decades together, reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel announced their final tour, and Doritos wanted to play a part in marking this historical moment in the performers' career. So, the Design Team created a Visual Identity System (VIS) and Limited Time Offer (LTO packaging) to pay tribute to Wisin and Yandel and this milestone musical event.

So, the Design Team created a Visual Identity System (VIS) and Limited Time Offer (LTO packaging) to pay tribute to Wisin & Yandel and this milestone musical event.

Inspiration

The Doritos W&Y packaging reflects this pride, as the proud red, white, and blue colors of the Puerto Rican flag adorns the background of the design. A stylized black and white photograph of Wisin & Yandel was centered on the pack, adding a nostalgic touch alongside text promoting "La Última Misión" World Tour. The angular Doritos logo ws prominently featured, adding a bold touch that perfectly matched the vibrant energy of the group's music.

Project Overview

Doritos W and Y Food Packaging has been a Iron winner in the Limited Edition and Custom Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Iron A' Design Award is awarded to good designs that meet the rigorous professional and industrial standards set by the A' Design Awards. This recognition is reserved for works that demonstrate a solid understanding of design principles and show creativity within their execution. Recipients of the Iron A' Design Award are acknowledged for their practical innovations and contributions to their respective fields, providing solutions that improve quality of life and foster positive change. These designs are a testament to the skill and dedication of their creators, showcasing their ability to address real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
