Production Technology
Use heat transfer printing technology to produce labels on the glass bottle.
Design Challenge
Designing large-area, vibrant, and intricately detailed labels for glass bottles through heat transfer printing is a challenging task. We personally visited multiple glass bottle factories, immersed ourselves in their workshops, and actively participated in the production of samples, continuously refining and optimizing our design to achieve a stunning effect.
Project Duration
December 2023,launched in Hangzhou, China.
Operation Flow
The bottle design boasts a convenient 318-milliliter capacity, promoting a one-time consumption without any environmental guilt, minimizing wastage.
Research
In Hangzhou, China, we immersed ourselves in extensive consumer interviews, understanding their perspectives on bottled water and listening to their consumption needs. Concurrently, we delved into the city's cultural tapestry, conducting in-depth research on iconic landmarks, historical narratives, and local legends. To ensure our packaging design stands out in the market, we meticulously studied both domestic and international water packaging trends. Finally, combining modern and international aesthetics with traditional Chinese cultural elements, we created this packaging series.
Inspiration
Hang Water is a homegrown brand from Hangzhou, China, aspiring to be the city's ambassador. This series of packaging draws inspiration from iconic landmarks of Hangzhou like the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, Grand Canal, West Lake, Xixi National Wetland Park, and Asian Games venues. Through a collection of vibrant illustrations, we aim to dynamically showcase Hangzhou's urban features, covering its history, culture, environment, ecology, and modernity.
Project Overview
Hangzhou Scenery Mineral Water Packaging has been a Bronze winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
