The greatest challenge was balancing artistic expression with functional clarity while differentiating each category with distinct patterns. Translating stage movement into static design required extensive experimentation with die-cut techniques and lighting effects. Historically, theater design influenced visual storytelling, while socially, the work navigated diverse audience interpretations. Externally, production constraints and material limitations necessitated adaptive solutions, ensuring feasibility while maintaining the design’s immersive intent.
The project started in November 2023 and finished in March 2024 and was exhibited in the AIGI Baltimore Gallery in March 2025.
Designed a captivating and visually engaging booklet for the Brooklyn Academy of Music event, drawing inspiration from theater lighting and stage design. Blended sans and serif typefaces in the table of contents to merge classic and modern aesthetics. Incorporated wave motifs and die-cut elements to create a sense of rhythm, echoing the dynamic interplay of light and shadow on stage.
