Hand Towel for Tsushima Design
This souvenir hand towel, sold in Hiroshima City, Japan, holds a deep connection to the city's post-atomic bomb history. It's crafted from recycled origami cranes, symbolizing peace, transformed into rayon threads. The design features two variations: one with tram numbers emerging through a hole, and another with typography forming stairs when unfolded. The towel's pattern represents Hiroshima's prefectural tree, the maple, and its colors mimic the tram's design. These items encapsulate Hiroshima's spirit, conveying a wish for peace.

This product is made by reusing origami cranes donated to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and processing them into rayon thread. It is a souvenir that prays for peace, and has a concept unique to Hiroshima.
"The most challenging aspect was creating the package on a single A3-sized sheet of paper. It was necessary to reduce costs. The problem is how to create an appealing package design using just one sheet of paper. Specifically, it was difficult to manually create the layered and staircase-like structure of the paper. By making holes, you can show the material of the towel.
This product will be on sale from April 2023. It is sold at souvenir shops in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park as a product targeting tourists and wishing for peace.
This product is a souvenir with a wish for peace. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Hiroshima Peace Exchange Fund or the Atomic Bomb Dome Preservation Fund.
This product has a design based on the symbol of Hiroshima and the atomic bombed train. It is hoped that this will arouse interest in the message of peace and Hiroshima's history, contributing to peace efforts and raising awareness of Hiroshima. These effects will contribute to the environment, revitalize local communities, promote tourism, and raise awareness of peace.
Hiroshima is a city that has been rebuilt since the atomic bomb was dropped in 1945. Many people bring origami cranes to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park to pray. There are also many tourists from overseas. Products made from recycled paper cranes are souvenirs filled with wishes for peace.
