Wine Packaging for Spumante Limarí
Azur, Millesime, is a premium Sparkling Wine presented as a packaging in motion interpreting a woman dancing with the universe. This packaging evoques the clear and starry sky of the Limari Valley in Chile. She carries the moon and the sun while rotating. The bottle rotates in one direction, while the two lateral lines that symbolize the arms of the dancing woman rotate in the opposite direction. The sun's rays are drawn on her dress, whose lines play with each other transparently. From an overhead view of the bottle, a sun may be seen spinning with the brand at its center.

The creative challenge was to design an ultra premium packaging for Azur, a sparkling wine from Spumante Limari, Chile, that during 2023 was distinguished as the best sparkling wine of Chile. The design was part of Make a Mark 2023, luxury category. The Limari Valley has one of the clearest skies in the world and it is well known for its observatories. Hence, the sky of Limari has been the inspiration for this project. The transparencies of the bottle and the sparkling wine allow the light to seemingly dance following the sky rhythm. Through this elegant and inspiring packaging we pay tribute to the Limari skies and the exceptional natural conditions that give origin to this top of the line sparkling wine.
Azur Millesime shall be exhibited on October 3, 2023, at Make a Mark Gallery in Monaco.
This packaging was created for Make a Mark 2023 and will be commercially released once its aging is complete.
This Sparkling Wine bottle features an innovation in its top closure with a double muzzle. The external one was specially designed. Between both muzzles, there is a round metallic cap and the traditional sparkling wine cork. The conical and oval-shaped box is inspired by the Earth's rotational movement, and the exterior graphics depict sun rays. It also includes a perforation at the top to reveal the Spumante Limari isotope. Its closure consists of two lateral metal clasps that can be turned to achieve a 100% secure seal.
Spumante Limari is a winery exclusively dedicated to the elaboration of sparkling wines under an accurate interpretation of the Methode Champenoise. The Limari Valley, is located in the 4th Region of Chile. It has one of the most transparent skies over the planet, a unique characteristic for the observation of the universe. Its extraordinary clarity and low level of cloud cover make it a world reserve concerning stars. From this point you may watch the different constellations of the southern hemisphere, the moon and the planets. Considering the value of the sky as a natural heritage. Azur, Millesime, represents a woman dancing with the universe. In her hands she carries the moon and the sun which also rotate along with her in her rotation movement, like the earth. The color black has been used in this packaging to symbolize the darkness of the night and the silver and gold applications capture the importance of the moon and the sun in the Limari Valley. Evoking a music box, music especially composed for this project, accompanies the movements of the bottle.
