The Dance of Nature was printed on an HP Indigo digital 6,900 using hexachrome (CMYK, plus violet and orange), and its finishing applications were done using the Digicon Machine. Folia Kurz gold 428 and pearlized Folia were utilized. The process included die-cutting, mechanical embossing, and semi-gloss UV varnish.
The challenge was to achieve a creative and sustainable design. All materials used in this artwork were carefully chosen. The watercolors used were made with natural pigments of plant origin. The Fabriano paper is 100% ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) pulp, FSC certified originating from responsibly managed forests, and applying environmentally friendly standards. The brushes were created with organic materials, bark, dry leaves, which nature naturally sheds as part of its recycling process.
This sample was introduced January 2023 at an event in Chile, but has been presented in several countries around the world.
This packaging is part of a sample for vineyards, wineries, and spirits companies, as well as for packaging designers.
Since the paleolithic and neolithic periods, there are traces of cave paintings. In antiquity, natural pigments have been used for ceremonies, rituals, or wars. These pigments may be of mineral origin such as clay, lime, or soil, and organic such as vegetables, fruits, or plants. As part of the research, there was experimentation with bougainvillea, coffee, beetroot, curry, and spinach pigments. The pigment extraction is carried out using a stone mortar, until obtaining a highly concentrated pigment.
A landscape was created in four different ways. For the merlot, the blue hour was painted. This is the moment when the sky is tinted with an intense blue color, just after sunset or moments before sunrise. For the malbec, the golden hour was interpreted. This is when the sun is low and nearing the horizon, as well as moments before sunrise. For the blend, several different colors were used, in the same way that a winemaker creates a wine such as this. The typographies were created by hand.
