The minimalist design of this product avoids the use of illustrations or photos of food commonly seen on the packaging of ready-to-eat products, and is fitting for high-quality food that has been prepared in the kitchens of prestigious hotels.
The project started in January 2020 and finished in November 2020 in Japan.
It is popular with many people who want to enjoy the taste of a hotel at home or as a gift for someone special.
In our preliminary research, none of the designs conveyed the tradition and prestige of the hotel with wit. In this respect, we found a way to differentiate our product from the competition.
This product is a ready-to-eat meals (Beef curry, Chicken curry, Napolitan - pasta sauce) package design for Hotel New Grand, the only classic hotel in Yokohama that opened in December 1927. We wanted to convey the tradition and prestige of the hotel with a little wit to entertain those who saw this design.
